My trouble started when my Magnavox rear projection tv had double vision and I found out that it was a convergence issue. I had a stupid overpaid tv guy come and charge me $300 to fix the issue, but when he reassembled the tv the picture had a green hue to it. He wanted the tv remote, but I had no idea where it was because of a handy little invention called a universal remote. I guess he figured that it wasn't worth his time to use the simple buttons built into the tv and just left telling me to find the remote. Well I did find the remote and now he stopped taking my calls (I guess since he already has my money). I tried messing around with the color contrasts and that, but nothing seems to help. He said it had to do with the red converge of the tv, but when I go to the maual settings the screen turns black with a yellow crosshair in the middle for a few seconds and nothing happens. The picture is still green. Can anyone help?
Hey, they sell your remote on ebay... also in my post below is the link to the service manual, I remember reading somthing about the volume control taking you to "SAM" service alignment mode, also know anyone with a philips TV of any type, I noticed that my other philips TV remote seems to turn it on and change channels might work well enought to limp along on.

Actually I have this TV and you need 2 Convergence IC's STK392-120's (120's and 150's will work) of course order 2 of the same type I'm using replacement 150's they allow for a little higher heat and were cheaper ALSO you need to replace the 12 resistors with 6.8 ohm metal film resistors, make sure they are metal film! donÂ’t skimp out here I did and then they blew and fried my IC's and I had to replace everything again!

(2) STK392-120 OR STK392-150 IC chips
(12) 6.8 Ohm Metal Film resistors
set of star screw drivers
15 watt pencil solder pencil, DO NOT use a high watt iron you will fry the surface mounted item.
good leaded solder, and flux
