Looking to get a new tv and would like some input on quality of products and what to stay away from. Wanting a 50" to 60" LCD or Plasma. LCD would be in the 50" range. Would like to keep tv cost around $4,000.00 on high end. Have been impressed w/ the Samsung A-650 plasmas at local stores. Not sure to go w/ plasma or LCD, side by side the plasma was a better picture and the LCD looked great also. Are there any maintenence and/or repair issues to consider? Is burn in still a problem w/ the plasmas or have they figured out a way to turn off the tv or run some type of screen saver after the picture is stagnent for a period of time? How long does it take to burn something in on a plasma? Any advice on quality of theater recievers and speekers, brands to stay away from or reccommend. I would like to keep the cost of the theater around 3000.00. Harmon/Kardon, Dennon, Onyko, Yamaha, etc. recievers I don't have a clue. Polk, Klipsch, Mirage, Bose, etc. speakers need some advice.
I apologize if this is long winded it's just that I thought I had my mind made up and every time a go to look a something I have more questions and too many options and my head starts spinning.
