I have a Mitsubishi WS-65869 I bought new about 5 yrs ago, I havent had any problem until today. I was watching TV this morning when the picture went blury more like a double image and there is a green wave across the top of the screen and above that a redish purple color. The tv still works and I have hit the rest but no changes. CAN anyone Help?

You have what is called bad convergence IC's I'm afraid. These are soldered in place on a solid state printed circuit board. Not really hard to replace but like I said, they are soldered on a board so you will need to have good soldering skills and some experience working on solid state printed circuit boards. If you have no experience with this, play it safe and call out a pro. It should not cost you more then a few hundred bucks to have repaired if they are honest about it. Good Luck.
Thanks, I have called a local repair man that has fixed some friends TV's. He is coming out next week on a $65.00 service call? I will tell him in advance that I might know what's wrong with it. I was playing with it today and when I went to converge the lines you could see the Green grid has like slumped or fell down on the left top of the screen. Leaving the blue and red to make purple.
Thanks
Tony
You have bad convergence iC's. The IC's should cost about 30 bucks and in the home labor, 200 to 250. Anything more then that is a ripoff. Good Luck!
