pt53wx42f having troubles with

hey guys i have a panasonic pt53wx42f that was acting up i replaced convergance ic and now itsworking but it needs adjustments to the fine and corse i have a service manual but i do not understand exactly the whole process i have done what i do and everything looks good but bowed in the center of the sides and also when i hooked up cable a black box comes up in center of screen can anyone help
