I just replaced the convergence board on my Akai model PTH5498 rear projection TV using part number aa9501846d as recommended on fixya.com. After putting the replacement part in the TV I am unable to get the TV to turn on and stay on. Instead I hear a click sound and the tv cycles on and off repeatedly.
Anyone have any suggestions?
i do not know what that model crosses to for the Samsung TV set but you can go to the technician's corner here at techlore under the resources tab at the top of the page and look at all of the free Samsung service manuals that is available here for free and see if any of these match your TV set. Then look up the number of the board and make sure you have the proper part number. If the set worked before but had bad picture, then you have the wrong part number or the board is hooked up wrong.
