zapdbf said it was likely the HV Transformer....
Bingo! I didn't want to change the transformer myself, so for 50% more than the price of the HV transformer T8001, I sent the D board in for repair.
Sure enough...they replaced the HV transformer.
Set works fine...no more blinks.

Thank you for the support, but i want to make sure everyone knows there is not hard fix for a 6 blink, i have tackled this 6 blink issue may times, and it is not the same solution for each tv.
I have had a simple bad solder connections around the flyback cause the six blink code.
