Been reading forums for 2 weeks now and have come to the conclusion that my ic's were bad,Sony KP-46WT510. Changed both ic's (STK392-560) and a 5-amp fuse on the "G" board. When I turned the set on the bow-tie effect was gone (Whoo-Hoo) but now when I flash focus and go into the manual convergence, I can only move the red up and down, not back and forth. The blue is fine.
Looking at this big brick in my living room is quite depressing, if anyone can give me some help ,it would be appreciated.
You could have missed a blowen fuse, or have a bad solder joint on the stk's. Your problem is still in that circuit. and i bet that one of those two things are wrong.
