I'm trying to help my uncle with his equipment. Here's a quick profile of his equpment:
Sony RDR-VX525 DVD Recorder/VCR
Sony Bravia Flat Screen TV
DirecTV receiver
He claims that at one point, he was able to record one program onto DVD while watching another. His satellite receiver is plugged through the DVD/VCR, then to the TV.
The DVD/VCR is set to video port #4, the satellite receiver is set to video port #6.
When you program the DVD/VCR in port #4 to record a specific channel at a specific time, it starts to record the correct channel, then "follows" whatever activity is going on in port #6.
What steps are we missing here?
