sharp lc42xd1e lcd tv

hi, hope someone can help,i bought the above tv 10months ago. last week i noticed what looked like 3 dirty marks on the lseft side of the screen , when i looked closer they where not dirty marks but 3 very faint lines running from the top of the screen to about 4inches from bottom. i phoned sharp who sent an engineer to look,the engineer told me it was screen creep and that it meant the two panels that form the screen where coming apart, he then went on to tell me that the tv would be scapped as it was uneconomical to repair and that he had been to quite afew lcds with this problem. i am fortunate in that my tv is still under gaurantee but another few weeks and i would have not been covered. has anyone else heard of this problem,or is it just a fault on the sharp model. thanks for any help or advice. paul
