Mitsubishi Rear Projection VS-70707 Video Problem

Hi, I am having a strange problem on this set. It comes on with the picture looking like the tubes are out of alignment and when it warms up, the picture looks closer to normal, except for the 6 inch band of lines running across the screen near the bottom and repeated about two thirds of the way up. I thought it seemed like a problem related to both convergence and vertical. I re-soldered a number of cold and cracked joints and thought I might be lucky, but no. I have a schematic. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
