I have the codes back at work, but i believe that is vertical, but i will have to check when i get to work.

Zapdbf, Im going to order and replace stk392-110,2 ea.---vert. out. tda4861. Hope it solves proplem. Will let you guys know.
This tv has blink codes into the double digits, you have to enter the sam mode in order to get the code. I would not jump to the conclusion that the stk convergence ic's are bad. The truth is we just don't know yet! this is one of the models that has the ssb board in it. this board is notorious for failing with various problems, it is the micro for the tv and if it fails it will give you false failure codes. one of the symptoms of this board failing is it can shutdown intermittently, the set will function normally sometimes. this is a big clue that this board is malfunctioning. Truthfully i have had little problem from the stk or the vertical ic's on this model. Most of my repairs have been the ssb. Enter sdm (even if the tv does not have a picture the micro will enter this mode) . Then read the blink code, to enter the sdm mode on this set press 062596 then either the index or status buttons depending on the specific model of that chassis. After entering the mode the led will have a 750 ms long blink indicating the decimal digit, then a pause of 1500 ms, then the led will blink the number equal to the error code For example let’s say the code was 12, it would begin with a 720ms bilnk once for one, then it will pause for 1500 ms, then bilnk twice indicating the number 12. It will empty the error buffer so every error that tv has encountered will be blinked, the last error bilnked will be the current error, after it has blinked all the errors in the buffer, it will repeat the process from the first error code.
Zapdbf, Cant get original remote to work, however I have a phillips substitute which will turn tv on but, still not able to get the codes to work.
i am not sure what you are telling me, are you saying that the original remote does not work at all, or that you just can't get it to operate service mode? -- a Philips generic substitute will not have the correct codes. i have dealt with this before. I keep one remote from each generation on my bench because of this.
I will check my scrap box and orig, remote. And I have great news! I found a pdf on this ptv-910. And a repair kit. part no. 483531057525. Dont have kit, but going to check them parts. will let u no what I find.
