I have a Zenith PV5263BT Rear Projection TV. The problem is when I plug in the s-video cable to the television. I get a picture but it is mostly black and white with a very low color level. If I hook up with rca cords, it displays fine. I have tried a different cord, different satellite receiver unit, and have even unsoldered the s-video component and installed a new one. Any ideas???
You are going to need to get the schematic and trace the color signal back from the s-video connector. Probably a bad coupling capacitor, resistor or the processor IC. Not really an easy repair for the novice. You will need to use an oscilloscope to do this repair. Good Luck
