SONY KV-35XBR88 Shut Down

I bought a SONY Trinitron Color TV KV-35XBR88 for $99.00.  I will be picking it up this Friday.  The owner said it just shut down and then would not turn back on.  I will post more on this when I get it home and just getting a feel for this model and if it will be worth wile in repairing and If I paid to much for it.  I did hear the have very clean sharp picture,  any Pre thoughts?  Oh BTW Larry YOU ARE GREAT!!!  No more little green blinking light on our Mitsubishi WS-65813,  here is the link......   http://www.techlore.com/forum/thread/19407/Mitsubishi-WS-65813-Blinking-Green-Light/?page=8   and we will be forwarding our support to keep great Techs like you providing an excellent web site for the DIY people,  Thanks Larry!!!!  AL  (my wife is user name LEDAY) .
