I am in need of the service literature for a Philips 55PP9401 rear projection tv,
mainly the section on convergence alignment. I know where the service switch
is, but that's about it. I am a tech and my customer is getting a little antsy....

Ah, yes the Hitachi masquerading as a phillips, if you have fixed hitachi's before it is the same convergence procedure. sorry i can't give out the manual, but you MUST have the customer's remote to converge this set. The remote has a special convergence mode, remove one battery, press and hold the a/ch and surf buttons at the same time then put the battery back in. the remote will now work the converrgence. but it is a complex set of keystrokes (just like the hitachi's) i will see what i can do about getting the keystrokes, but this one realy does require the manual, or any hitachi convergence guide.

that may work, if you have a hitachi remote, i suspect it will work as well. but i have not tried this but i bet it is the same codes.
