I have this SONY KDF55WF655, the problem is I turned the ON/OFF button and it wouldn't turn on anymore. Instead the GREEN light blinks for 30 to 40 times in which at the end of each cycle, it'll have a solid GREEN light and repeatedly doing it for 4 times or 4 sets. Then afterwards the light will turn to RED and it blink 5 times on a repeatedly cycle.
The TV wont turn ON. NO pictures at all. I've read too many articles because I want to make sure thats the problem before I called the technician. Since I dont know anything about the electronics parts. I've read its easy to replace the bulb if thats the problem. It's even avaialable on the manual as to how to replace it but I've seen some articles that have a G board or module related problem.

ok after the red light blinks that is your error code 5 is you error. i have worked on so many of these kdf55wf655 that i can't count them. I will post back with what your problem might be soon
A 5 blink error is a lamp ballast error, Although some times on this model all you need to do is to replace the bulb, but if that does not fix it, Sony recommends when replacing the ballast you also replace the bulb. Ballast part number 1-468-875-11 , bulb part number A-1085-447-A If the bulb does not fix it , post back here and i can help you through the ballast replacement.
The bulb is user replaceable, it is easy to do. G board failure is very very rare, i would not suspecet "G" board, first the bulb then the ballest.
I have this same problem and model, i replaced the bulb but the error code hasn't changed. What is the procedure to replace the ballast? Thanks!
