Hello all,
I just replaced both of my STK392-110's after seeing the red shadowing and not being able to set my convergence.
Once done I turned on the set and it flashed, with sound, turned off and the Power LED started blinking 3 times. What would cause this after I changed the IC's?
Any help would be great. Thanks.
Matt
If this is a different symptom then you started out with, double and triple check all of your work. Check your solder connections as well as the resistors around the convergence IC's. Did you buy good quality IC's. Did you use heat sink paste on the new IC's before you replaced them? Have you checked the positive and the negative voltages on the IC yet? A lot of times with this model you find the feed resistors blown. On this model, they are R7060 for the 20 volt positive, and RR7066 for the 20 volt negative. They are .27 ohm resistors at 1 Watt. I have also had the mute transistors a couple of time short out when these ICs went out also. They are Q 7006 and Q7007.
Thank you very much. I just decided to redo all of my work. Seems it was a sloppy solder, it is working fine now. Thank you again.
Matt
Great news Matt. A little persistence will always help.
hey larry do you have the schematics for this tv set model number PT-53TW53 panasonic the problem I have is the tv turn on fine but ten minutes later it shuts off any ideas what may be causing this problem
Thanks to everyone that posted. I just replaced my STK392-110's and had the same problem as Matt and after rechecking my solder work everything works great.
