Another Mitsubishi ws-55813 fall to the green light of death. This really seems to be a major problem that will haunt Mitsu for years. Some posts say to get your soldering gun out to save $1100. THAT"S A JOKE! It sounds like a bad design that they should stand behind. What sounds better...$110 to fix my 2 year old tv, or $1100 to buy a new LCD Samsung?

R.I.P. Dead Mistsubishi WS-55813
I had a local Mitsubishi authorized repair facility come out and repair my WS55813 at the component level(4 blown capacitors rated at 105 C!). The total cost $240. There is excessive heat build up in the power module. I have read and am relooking for the article on how to install a PC/CPU type of 120mm fan. Need to tap into the power supply or add an external power supply
That was a very easy repair to do! I bought slightly larger and higher rated caps and replaced them. ( DM module ) i believe. About 8.00 total!
