I have a ms2730 c221 (27inch picture tube TV) that the power light flashes twice and then goes off. I tried the "demo unlock" thinking it was that and then the lights merely flashed very quickly then stopped until I pushed them again. Any ideas? No sounds from the unit itself like a voltage surge or anything like that.

Hmmm, i don't have access to philips service manuals today, i will be back at work on friday, i will look up the code then, But i think it is a vertical stoppage, although i am not sure. It is an F8 chassis. I will have a better idea on friday.

check 3485 near the flyback transformer if it is open, you can replace the resistor with a wire. this is per phillips as a recomend fix. so check that resistor first. Although i am offering this information freely - proceed fully at your own risk!
