I have a friend with Sharp VCR/DVD recorder ,model Sharp DV-RW360H.Every time he tries to copy an old vcr he recorded over 10 years ago.He has tried to transfer it to a dvd-r. It seems to work well but then after one hour it stops recording to the dvd ,he has tried it a few times but it still stops even altering recording to lp still the same. Can anyone help?
My initial reaction would be that the DVD is probably full, so that's why it stops. I'd also guess that SP/LP/SLP settings would relate to VHS recording, not the DVD, so changing them would have no effect when trying to record a DVD from a VHS tape. But that's just a guess.
Do you know if that particular unit supports the use of Dual Layer DVD's? If so, that might be what you need to use to have sufficient capacity to get through an entire movie.
Thanks Chris Ill try what you said.Im sure the DVD recorder has LP function but Ill check thanks again.
