OMG! The green light quit blinking!

We fixed the TV! Thanks for all of the info posted on this site. Although we never did receive the email with the fix, we were able to figure it out from the comments. My husband is 67 and has no experience repairing a tv.  I diagnosed the problem via this site after our TV would not power up and had a blinking timer light. We bought capacitors at Radio Shack (our TV required 7). I took pictures as the TV was disassembled so we could put it back together again. My husband removed the old caps, soldered the new caps in place, and replaced the cable. (I have MS so my job was to hold the light and hand him the screws. Lots of them!) After we got it all back together we plugged it in and the green light started blinking. My husband didn't think it was going to work so he went downstairs to get a beer. I stared at the light (now I know how Nasa people feel). All of a sudden the light was gone! I pushed the power button and Yahoo! The TV works! It has a sharp, clear picture! Thanks soooo much for the help. If we can do it, anyone can!
