Sony KP-43T90 sound but no picture

I had a convergence problem on my Sony KP-43T90 and recently replace both Convergence ICs (STK 392-150) and did a smoke test. I have sound but no picture. Has any one experienced this problem after replacing the Convergence ICs?

If you are having a secondary

If you are having a secondary problem, re-check your work and the plugs, make sure you have plugged in all the connectors, and don't have solder bridges. Also check your fuses, some will be on the "G" board.

zapdbf,

zapdbf,

I removed the G board and checked the solder connections with a magnifying glass - no solder bridges and I cleaned the flux residue. I could only find one fuse, next to the power input and that is ok. There are two other fuses shown on the schematic but I have not found them.  Is there any other check I can do while I have the board on the bench?

Thanks

the fuses are not normal

the fuses are not normal looking they are yellow and soldered into the board and look like resistors, they are not glass. they are close to the connector that goes to "D" board.

Normally though those fuses will not cause you to have a no picture situation. Open the front panel and get to the focus block and turn up one of the screens to see if you can see a raster, if you see this it will eliminate all deflection and high voltage circuits as having trouble. You then need to concentrate on the video processing circuits.

O.K. checked the fuses which

O.K. checked the fuses which look like little yellow flags, they were ok.  Definitely no raster. There is no glow near the neck of the tubes. I thought the number of flashes of the Standby/timer might clue me to the problem but it is erratic.  Most often it flashes 9 or 10 times.

This has me puzzled, the only changes I made was to replace the STK 392-150s and resolder a connector Cn 653 labled ANT.E  which felt like it had become loose from my trying to remove the connecting wire.

I have the G board hooked up and now looking at the schematic trying to figure what to do next. Any thoughts? Thanks

Zapdbf,

Schematic for Convergence ICZapdbf,

I replaced 3 fuses that were open with Sony replacements. I think these are 2 Amp pico fuses that Sony calls Link, IC. Rechecked my work and powered the TV. Again no picture - and on checking found the new fuses had blown (were open).  I must have a short somewhere.  How can I put a picture of the schematic to show the circuit?

Thanks
