olympus sp-550uz

I am having trouble taking action shots that are not blurred with they olympus sp550uz.  I have tried many settings, image stabilizer on and off, increased the ISO, decreased the ISO, tried auto high iso, used Auto mode, "P" mode, sport mode, I've tried changing the image quality...  it seems no matter what I do, all of my action shots are blurred.  Can anyone please offer some advise on how to get a good action shot?  Thanks.
