sylvania monitor comes on then goes dark

please help i have a monitor that comes on then loses its light but is still on,you can barely see it but its on just super dark.can anyone help?its a sylvania modell181,type no.l81b,serial no.jccc2400390.made in june 2002.thanks,skyler at [email protected]
