I recently took the back panel off my TV to access and clean the VCR/DVD combo unit while I was pulling the board out a wire came off the main board this wire is black and connected to the high voltage circuit board on the picture tube....Can someone help me put this wire in the right connector?

I believe that this is a ground wire between the CRT board and the main chassis. There should be a small square post (possibly marked with a G) on the main chassis close to the full extension of the wire. I'll try and locate a picture of this for you.
