Larry~
I have had the project on hold (still collecting dust) while we do work in the yard, but will probably need this manual eventually. I know you sent an email asking for a donation as the manual is expensive, but I have no idea what happened to it. Please let me know if you still have the manual available...thanks!
I'm sorry, I couldn't find the manual for the HRL5067 there. I found an article on how to replace the color wheel and a manual for the CX series. Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks!!
I guess the flywheel is also called the color wheel? its what i was hoping my samsung hlr5067w screen problems were originating from. Now I'm starting to think its the digital board. Essentially after my bulb blew and I changed it... the screen start to act up... the colors on the screen were swamped with purple and green lines outlining the whole screen...not pixels or squares but kinda like waves around the picture... I was hoping it was the color wheel but starting to think digital board.... I performed the test where you press mute 1, 8, 2 to acess factory settings then tested PP1011 for colors...saw them all
then tested dln(?) saw all colors BUT white...thats the first color i saw with the first test but didn't see the white on the dln test.... ANYWAYS
yea i need help... thats why i was hoping for the guide to replace color wheel and or digital board.
Kyle Kelly said: I have had the exact same problem a couple of months ago the color wheel(I'm hoping thats what it was) in my HL-R5067w broke and became off center. So it made the TV vibrate and made a humming sound. I have since taken out the light engine board, but I'm not completely sure how to remove the color wheel. Larry, Could you send me that guide you had for removing the color wheel? [email protected] I realize that a tech should be doing this but I think I have enough electrical experience to do this repair with a guide of some sort. I am a Ground radio maintenance tech in the Air national guard.
I am having an issue where one day my Samsung HL-R5678W will ONLY display the color green. After letting it sit for a few hours it works fine. Then a few days later it displays all color EXCEPT red. I am thinking since it is color related issue it is the color wheel. Since it is only $130 I might as well try it first before taking it in to a shop.
Larry, can I get a copy of the manual for the Samsung HL-R5678W, please?
doing it yourself is possible as we have a guide for that in the technicians corner on the home page under the resources tab. but it is not an easy task but has been done many times and with great success!! just take it slow and take many photos and mark any plug you disconnect.
Larry Dillon.
if you are handy techlore has a step by step on how to replace the color wheel assy. in the download section i the technicians corner is a lot less to do this way.
My Samsung HLR5067W was showing a great picture then the picture started flickering in black and white. I turned it off and now it won't turn on. I get standby/lamp flashing lamps. I'm hearing high pitched noise when I try turning on my set. I get three flashing lights and the tv turns off and then on again, over and over. I'm assuming that the color wheel is defected. I replaced the lamp but same problem. Could you please help and also email me a copy of your instruction guide to replacing the color wheel?
Thanks!
Emmitt
Hi Twister! I had the same high pitch condition with my HLR5067w. I spoke with a service tech over the phone and he said that the color wheel is locked up not allowing the cycle that builds the rpm's to turn on the lamp for a picture. He will do a diagnostic this week. I will let you know what he finds.
My was broken down. I replaced the digital board but there is no sound and not other input channel working but cable. Would I have a copy of the manual for this HLR5067W model? Please send to [email protected]. Thanks.
