I have a 10 year old sony trinitron that recently quit working. The blinking code suggests the vertical deflection has stopped (4 blinks). Is this something worth repairing, can I do it myself, or should I just scrap the tv and move on?

A model number might help narrow down the possibilities. If you scrap the TV, would you be willing to part with the remote? I'm looking for a RM-Y117 remote for my KV-27TS32.
