I have a Samsung Slimfit HDTV 30" Model # TXS3082WHX/XAA. The TV rarely turns on the first time the power button is hit. Instead it makes a strange electronic noise and nothing happens. Then if you press the button a second time it will power up. When it does power up, it seems to take a little longer than any other TV i have The problem seems to be happening more often. I have had the TV for about a year. It turns off without a problem.
It does not matter what version, size or model Samsung has a built in problem with the power board' that will begin to fail after about 14 months on average.
The capacitors will popcorn out and eventually the set with no longer power on. This happens out of warranty of course; this could cost as much as 200 to 600 to repair even thought the parts are about 6.00.
Learned my lesson mnever buy a Samsung again.
