HELP! Camcorder to PC

I want to connect my Samsung VPD361 to my notebook (Intel Celeron M440 1.86GHz with Vista) through a Belkin FireWire 800 Express card. The computer recognises the card when I plug it in, but I can't get Windows Movie Maker to see the camera. Tried 'find new hardware' with no success. Any ideas? Thank you!
