Mitsubishi WS65513 out of focus on right 1/4th of screen

I just recovered from the blinking green light of death by replacing the DM module capacitors thanks to Larry. Pleased with the outcome of this last problem, I wanted to take this time to see if another issue I've had with the TV could be fixed as well.

This issue I've always had with the TV since I first purchased it. The screen is out of focus on the last fourth of the screen on the right side. While under warranty, I've had service techs come in to look at it and they have never been able to correct it. I did find someone years ago on another forum with the same issue but they had the TV replaced. It was over a month for me so I couldnt get the TV replaced by the Big Screen Store I bought it from.

While the tech was at my house "trying" to correct the problem, he called his manager so I could talk to him to describe the issue to see if he had a fix. His manager told me that all Mitsubishi's have this problem, which is not true. He also said that is what I get for only spending $2000 on a TV!! He really got my blood boiling but I kept cool. I called Mitsubishi so he could talk to the tech. Mitsubishi told me that it was indeed a problem with my set and that the service tech would be able to diagnose and fix. The tech said he never saw this problem before and adjusted focus and other things but could not fix it. Needless to say, I never called in for service under my warranty with the Big Screen Store again. I shouldve complained but I was really done with dealing with those folks.

Has anyone here had this problem or have a fix for this? I've heard of Schiempfluge but I've also heard that these Mitsu's cant have that problem.

I have also heard of this but

I have also heard of this but I do not remember. Let me do some checks of my notes and ask around to some buds in the repair field. Keep reminding me, as this old mind forgets things sometimes.

Larry, any word on this? Just

Larry, any word on this? Just a friendly reminder. I did some research today and now I'm starting to think that the Schiempfluge correction might possibly fix the problem on a Mitsu. I will try unscrewing the lenses and inserting a washer to see if thats the fix but only as a last resort. I do notice that there are a couple of spring loaded screws holding the lens' panel to the frame of the TV. You can see them if you open up the back of the TV and look up at the lens panel. I'm wondering if those screws were adjusted would they adjust the angle at which the lenses aim? Cant think of any other reason the screws would be spring loaded. If so, I could use them instead of the washer technique since the blurred focus is pretty much identical across all 3 lenses. I didnt see anything in the service manual about these screws. Does anyone have any idea?
