i have a GE1101P DVD player hooked up to a vintage Panasonic toploader VCR (dont know the model number) and a Sanyo DS27910 TV. The problem, is that when i'm playing a dvd, the picture goes from sharp and clear to dark and blurry, then back again. i've double checked the wiring, and just don't know what else it could be. i was thinking about using an RF Modulator, but i'm wondering how i'd still be able to use my VCR.
The problem is that the "guard band" info encoded within the video signal are being interpreted badly by the old VCR. The video section is not a direct pass-thru. Purchase a converter and the problem should go away.
