Panasonic SDR-H18 Problem

I have a new Panasonic hard disk camcorder and am having problems creatign a dvd of the family movies.   I can load it on the computer and play the movies but fo the life of me cannot transfer the movie to a DVD.  I can "write" it up to the point of transfering it but I need to select a drive (which I can't do).  I know this is a relatively new-type camcorder but maybe someone has some experience with my mess??  I hate to take it back to the store.
