I called for the new lamp from panasonic. It will be here in 7 to 10 days. Meanwhile my husband took the back of the t.v. off and looked for the lamp. Could not find where it went. We then plugged the t.v. back in and turned it on, (as it will still turn on for about 2 minutes and then it automatically turns back off), the lamp then started to glow and the fan started to turn. When we realized that the lamp was inside a small metal case and we were unable to reach it, we decided to unplug it, put the back on the t.v. and call it a day. I'm hoping that the new lamp will have instructions on how to easily install the new bulb.
If you do not have an owners manual, you can download one for free from HERE. If you look on page 68 of the owners manual, it will tell you what the correct lamp is you need for this TV set and also to please follow the directions included with the new lamp for the proper replacement procedure.
