This an older set, but has been a good one. It works great for 5 Min. then turns white with lines in picture. I can still make out what is on, barely. It may not be worth fixing but has been such a good set, I hate to give up on it. Any suggestions. Jerry!
You have a CRT drive problem or there could be a bad capacitor that's supplies voltage to the screens on the CRT, or possibly a bad fly-back or picture tube. If this set is over 12 years old as i am predicting by the model number, it is time to let it go, as most major parts are not available any longer for this TV set. And if you do get it repaired, how long will it last till something else goes bad? Good Luck, and let us know if you got it repaired or what you purchased to replace the broken TV set.
