having trouble finding solution with ctc195 proscan 61670 set came in with arcing at anode of pict tube [red] replaced anode cap wire and cleaned anode area replced silicon all was well for about 2 days then diode cr800 [pfr856] r305 [3.6k 3wt] andr159 [15k 2wt] after replacing these set now comes on but has improper luminance with retrace lines over video usual fault with rca sets was lum buffer rca#34704 however this seems to have everything inside chip any sugestions thanks cptnelectron
Replace the chip and replace the capacitor in the sweep power supply that sullies the b+ to the IC. In an RCA older then a couple of years, I have always found that repeated falures to be the power supply, as RCA uses the cheapest most worst capacitors ever made.
there will be a video transistor bad some times they are tiny surface mounts if you have a schematic you can scope it and find it.
right it used to be vid buffer ufort i have no schematic for this one have checked and repl larry d suggestions la712 changed supply cap all others checked ok will continue the battle thanks cptnelectron.
no luck with ps61670 changed t-chip checked all caps coils even swaped out some smd transistors in video area only change cr800 shorts after set runs for a while 3.6k and 15k in that circut that were burnt are not getting hot so what is going on unfortunately i do not have schematic for this model becoming big liability any ideas leroy.
