HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP. MY FIANCE THREW A REMOTE CONTROL AT OUR NEW 40" SONY BRAVIA LCD TV. IT DIDN'T CRACK THE OUTSIDE BUT THE SCREEN/PANEL INSIDE IS CRACKED. THE TV CAN STILL BE SEEN BUT YOU HAVE THE LARGE CRACK. WE TOOK IT IN TO GET AN ESTIMATE AND COST IS MORE THAN WE PAID FOR TV. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO GET THIS FIXED AND NOT AT $1500? :) ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
LCD panels are very expensive. Your fiance owes you a new LCD TV. Sorry, $1500 sounds about right.
IS THERE A POSSIBILITY OF SOMEONE/TV REPAIR COMPANY PURCHASING THE TV FOR A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR OTHER PARTS??? APPARENTLY THE PANEL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS NEW. WE JUST GOT THE TV A FEW MONTHS AGO.
Post where you are located, but I highly doubt you will get a few hundred bucks for it, as it is used my friend. Even if it is a day old, it is still considered used and the parts could not be sold as new. Oh one more thing, Please do not type in all Caps as it is harder to read and internet etiquette is words in caps are shouting. Thats one of the first things you should learn in computer on the WWW. Thanks
