I currently have a Toshiba RD-85DTSB HDD/DVD Recorder.
I've been trying to create a DVD-video by transferring material recorded on the hard drive.(Stuff for study)
I bought the DVD/RW discs as recommended but when I load a disc to dub to and then select the 'Dubbing HDD-DVD' option, it says either that
a) there isn't a disc in
or after five mins loading it says b) the disc is empty.
The whole thing stops and I can get no further. Do you have to format the DVD's in some way before use? How do you do that?
The second problem I have is that one particular DVD that I bought pre-recorded - wont play. It just keep on going through the loading cycle. I even bought another copy in case the first was faulty but this did the same. Both DVD's play on other people's DVD players but not mine. Other DVD's I have bought pre-recorded play without a problem.
Can anyone help please - and as I'm a simple soul - in very basic terms please.
Thank you in advance. Frustrated Quillpenuser.
