Panasonic CT32SL 14J only 3 years old, no power, picture or sound.

I have a three year old Panasonic CT32SL 14J television that worked great this morning but now has no power, picture or sound. I have tried different outlets to make sure that is not the problem, they work fine. I have tried a hard reset after waiting 4 hours to plug the set back in and that does not work either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Check the stand off resistor, normaly is a big ceramic resistor, near the main fuse, ,  don't know your  set but it should read   same thing like this 1.5ohms 7w  with a letter K,

Hello All-

Hello All-

Though the same TV model is now 4yrs old, I experienced the same exact problems with my TV that TechChallengedMom has experienced. Does anyone recommend a specific site for the diagram for opening and servicing this model ?Panasonic CT32SL 14J

Is it suggested to remove the backpanel and visually check for the resistor as a possible remedy above ?

 thank you

My solution was found on

My solution was found on aanother site so I'll add here:
I too had the same problem with suddenly no power to my Ct32sl214.
I read the solutions and wanted to commend Terryfic, whose solution worked.
" Check AC fuse ... if bad 6.3 amp...replace with slo-blo..T-type
6.3 amp.....original is fast-blo"
The TV weighs 160 lbs, but car is not large enough to bring TV to repair shop which would usually run $39.00 just to drop it off. My tv repair shop wanted to charge $125 bucks just to come out for the housecall.
I located the fuse right near where the power chord connects to the circuit board and removed it with ease. You can see the fuse when your unscrew and remove the small chord bracket on the rear of the set and peer down with a flashlight, but i needed to take the back off the TV to access the fuse.
I then went to the same repair shop who didn't have the replacement fuse, but referred me the Radio Shack up the road who did.
I only had to shell out $2.99 for four replacement fuses, saving at least $120.00 for a house call.

Thank You
