My JVC DVD/VCR combo will no longer play my DVD's. However it will play CD's.

The JVC DVD combo stopped playing DVD's, but it plays CD's perfectly. Any suggesstions why this happened or how to fix it?

This is usually and indication that the optics are failing. The laser level required for a DVD to function is higher than for a CD. Try cleaning the lens with a cotton swab and alcohol (gently). Other than that, there is little that can be done.
