hi i live in australia who have sony tv model kv-xa29m31. When i changes new hor transistor(2SD2578)power on which damages new hor transistor. also +B about 135v. any one know the problem help me please. Thank a lot.
You will need to check the regulator circuit as well as the regulator IC and get that voltage down to where it is supose to be. You will also need to make sure that you are not trying to use a replacement HOT and ONLY the ORIGINAL part for this set. Also another problem with Sonys when they damage the HOT is a small capacitor off of the b+ that feeds the horizontal driver transformer that is connected to the collector of the horizontal driver transistor will be bad. Hi Larry. I replaced a new HOT original part, this time when power on ,i can hear click....click from EHT Tranfomer and also check at +B about 45V
