GPX DVD

My DVD player just "out of the blue" shows PSCAN on the screen you normally view the DVD.  It's also a split screen.

Tried unplugging for a day, and pressing every button on the remote.  Nothing works!

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks much

You are going to have to go

You are going to have to go into the menu of this player and go to the system settings and change the setting of Pal to NTSC. Good Luck and let us know how this turns out for you.

I'd say it's also possible

I'd say it's also possible this DVD player is connected to an analog display with component video cables. Some analog sets have component connections, but are not compatible with progressively scanned (480p) images. The split screen like image is representative of this problem.

Disabling the PSCAN (progressive scan) feature may solve this problem. In some cases, this feature is altered by:

1. A button on the front of the unit

2. A switch on the back of the unit

3. A setting in the menu.

4. A button on the remote

If it is a menu setting, you may need to connect the player with a composite or S-video signal to  adequately see the menu options.
