DLP Bulb replacement on LG 52 " Timer needs to be re-set?

My DLP TV bulb went again. Best Buy sent me a new one, which I installed properly.

My set didn't start up. I called LG tech and they told me the timer has to be reset by a remote by a tech person. It is not the TV remote. does anyone know what this is all about?

I don't know who you talked

I don't know who you talked to at LG but here's the problem with what they're suggesting. Using a LG/Zenith service remote to reset the lamp time requires the set to be ON in order to do it.  The lamp time hours in the sets memory won't keep a set from coming on.  Did you firmly tighten the nut and screw onto the new lamp?  Have you double and or triple checked your installation of the new lamp?
