I have a Sylvannia tv/dvd/vcr combo and it shuts off after ten seconds every time. I think it's the sleep timer set to 0, but I can't change it and I didn't keep the manual. Can someone help?
No I doubt if it is the sleep timer as you said it is set to 0. Most likely the TV set is detecting an over voltage or a short somewhere in the set and shutting down the main power supply. This is a common thing to happen with solid state TV sets. This is safety circuits that are built in to these TV sets to prevent any fare hazzards and also to tray and prevent any further damage to other circuits on the board. You will need to have this set diagnoised by a pro. Good Luck and let us know what you find out about this TV set.
