I have Sony 53" KP-53S35 TV that I bought a few days ago but it didn't come with a remote control. I want to be able to adjust the picture but I need the remote in order to do that. Does anyone know where I can pick one up from a website or anything? Thanks a lot guys!
I don't know whether you can pick up the exact remote for that TV, but you might ask your question at http://remotecentral.com.
I also just checked the logitech web site. Your model TV is in their database and, if you already have a harmony remote or want to purchase one, that may be your easiest solution.
I find that the activites set up format for the harmony turns on or off all the components for a given activity, provides most of the button actions for each of your components, and allows you to add the most often used buttons to the LCD screen on either the 880 or the 890.
Without the original remote for your TV, the harmony remotes would not be able to learn any additional codes that are not already in their database.
I also have Aurora MX-950 from Universal, which seems to have more button commands in it's database for most devices than logitech and can be programmed with macros to perform more difficult tasks, but it is much harder to program and costs much more than the harmony ones. It also doesn't come with the software necessary to program it anymore. You need to find and download it on the internet.
You can pickup the priginal replacement remote from HERE
Good Luck
