Would be very grateful if someone can help, im loosing my head
I have my dell inspiron 5150 laptop (nVIDIA graphics card) connected up to my Toshiba 32WLT66 HDTV i just dont know how to make the TV my primary monitor it wont let me set it. So far all i have on the TV is my laptop background (no icons) I went to properties, settings....and i see a button that says "use this device as my primary monitor" but i cant click on it. please help
could be that u have the incorrect driver loaded try to update it, right click on the desktop and open the nvidia control panel and click the multiple display options, unclick the use 1 display icon.
other option is to check your keyboard and there is a key with a display on it, probably on one of the F buttons, you must press this with the "FN" button to switch to external display mode
