Help!! On my pioneer pro 97 television bottom right corner, the blue comes up about 4 inches and goes down to normal on other side of screen. When TV first comes on it is fine, after about an hour it comes back to the blue being high on one side, goes back and forth a few times then stayes in the distorted picture on bottom right corner. If any one can help it would be great. I do not have the money to have it repaired or replaced at this time. I am on disability and do not know how long i will be out of work. Thanks
Can anyone help, my pioneer pro 97 television has a arch from right to left, the blue comes up about 4 inches on the bottom right sides and goes down to normal to the left, the rest of the picture is fine. Does anyone know if this can be fixed without calling a repair shop, something i can do or is the tube going? Thanks Taterman
No it is not the tubes going, you have bad convergence IC's on the main board that will have to be chamged. If you have no printed circuit board experience or do not know how to solder, you should call in a pro to assist you in this repair. if you think you can change the two convergence IC's, the first step would be to get the service manual to locate the proper parts, and do the alighnments that you will need to adjust once the new IC's are replaced. Good Luck, and let us know how you make out with this set.
