I have a Norcent 27inch hi def LCD TV. Model number LT-2722. I have had it a little over a year. A few months ago it started flipping off by itself. But I could always turn it right back on. Recently, it started flipping off by itself and the blue power light would not come back on. So I couldn't turn it back on. It has started staying off for hours, even days, at a time. And sometimes it will stay off for just a few minutes. When the tv is on it works PERFECTLY. Great sound great picture.
I have tried keeping it unplugged for a few minutes. I have even kept it unplugged overnight. I have tried switching the power cord and I have tried plugging the tv into a different outlet.
It's weird because when it's off, I can still hear static coming through the speakers. And when I get up close to the tv and hit any button on my remote I can hear a beep sound from in the tv whenever I press a button. Does anyone have a clue what could be going on? I'm trying to avoid taking it to a shop because money's a bit tight right now. Of course I will if I have to. But I get the feeling that whatever's wrong is something simple since it works perfectly when it is on.
Thid problem could be something simple like a bad soldr connection, but it could also be a major problem such as the main board might have toi be replaced because of a component going bad. If the set only has a bad connection, a tech should be able to locate this fault without too much difficulties, lets hope. Some intermittant problems can be a dog to repair. This set I'm afraid does not have a quick fix solution I think you are searching for. My best advise would be to take the set to a pro before your fault turns into a major repair. Good Luck and let us know what your problem turns out to be.
