I am having trouble with thsi toshiba the sound is muffled and very low volume the speaker's are good also when I try to shutt it off it just goes tomute the sound and when you push the power button again it won't shutt it off it will bring the sound back on.
Ok let me see if this is what your having troubles with. Deos the picture ever go off when you turn off the TV set? Or does the picture and sound go off when the power switch is hit, or does the picture never go off but only the sound goes off when the power switch is hit? Please explain, and I will see if I can assist you.
when I hit the power button the first time the picture stays on but the sound goes to mute and the second time I hit the power button it goes off the picture and sound but it comes back on
It sounds like the main power relay is sticking on the contacts. This is not a hard thing to replace but the relay will need to be unsolder off the printed circuit board. and replaced.
