HEy all, I have a problem with my pro scan TV. I connected it to my directv box with an s-video cable and it doesnt have any captioning on ANY channel. I've tried all the different type of captioning settings there are and I get nothing. When I connect the directv box to th same TV with the standard yellow, white, red cables I get close captioning. Though, the S-VIDEO channel is much more clearer.
Is there anyway around this? Thanks
The Direct TV folks as had this problem with some recievers in the past. The manufacturer of the DTV equipment slipped up a bit and injected the closed caption video into the video stream after the Discreat color and video is take for the s-video plug. Not alot you can do except use the composite video output. Good Luck.

If you get a newer model yes it might work but I can really say for sure.
