This is in regard to a KV-32S16 Sony TV, manufactured in October of 1995 (and purchased in February of 1996 by me!)
Last night, while watching a DVD, the picture went blank. Well, mostly blank. There is a small line (1/8" maybe) of random colors at the top of the screen, and the rest of the monitor is glowing a little, but still - blank.
It is still blank when the input signal is switched to Tivo, TV, etc. All have sound, but no picture.
While I didn't expect this TV to live forever, I didn't expect it to die at the drop of a hat, either, with no warnings or anything. The TV has not been moved recently, has not had anything new hooked up to it in a little over a year, and we haven't had any power surges or blackouts in 4 or 5 months.
Any chance this is something minor? Or am I about to upgrade to an HD TV?
