Our Sony Trinitron TV (Model KV-27V42) has gone to standby mode since yesterday. The standby/timer light blinks four times and stops. The TV does not start. Could somebody help us resolve this issue? Thanks.
changed jungle ic and color crystal already results same was hoping someone might have had this one before i'll keep looking no schematic thanks cptnelectron .
You will need to invest in a schematic as I remember a small capacitor being bad in a set like this for the burst signal from the horizontal circuit. The only way to find this problem is to trace the burst signal With an ocilliscope going into the Y/C jungle IC. Good Luck
I have a JVC 32 inch AV-32F703 chassis A112 that is about 3 years old. When I put it on channels 32 and 33 (ESPN & ESPN@) the sound drops off dramtically. I had the cable guy here and he could not figure out the problem even after we swapped out TV to the same coaxial outlet and it worked fine. Can someone help me.

Really only a couple things that will cause this problem. The Color oscillator crystal or the Y/C Jungle IC.

thanks Larry already on search for manual on line have also checked a few caps around jungle ic with esr meter let youknow what happens cptnelectron.
According to the tips database, this problem can be caused by a bad vertical IC (IC541). Try replacing that first. (TDA8172)

For no chroma Dan? Wow thats a new one for me.
I have to say that I was a bit surprised as well. But at least this time, I'm only the messenger. This was the Sony tips database BTW.
